Question to the Patek Grand Complication owners

During pre-COVID times, were you able to wear your Grand Complication to work (assuming office job) and during commute which may involve some street/subway/sidewalk environments?  I'm curious because I don't know if these pieces are most often left in the bank vault/safety deposit box OR if they get wrist time in public.

I've read previous posts about keeping the watch under a cuff, sleeve or otherwise not being flashy with it.  I certainly appreciate that logic.  I also understand keeping the watch protected in your pocket until you arrive at a safe location.  But eventually the watch will be put on your wrist and it is going to be visible, even if it's only while the owner is seated, relaxed in a safe environment, and his elbows are bent either over a keyboard, a desk, conference room table, restaurant table, etc.

I'm not referring to physical safety from robbery, I'm simply trying to determine the wearability of a Grand Complication watch such as a Patek 5970, 5270, 5370, or six figure piece such as Lange Dato Perpetual, Double Split, etc.  If I work my way up to purchase a piece in this upper range... are there opportunities to bring it to work or other daily public outings?  Many thanks!

If the answer is "no, simply owning a super complication and being able to appreciate it under a loupe in the safety of my home"... I fully understand and applaud the lucky owner.  But if there are more answers like "I have no problem taking mine on the commute and into the office - but I'm certainly safe/reasonable/conservative with how I wear it"... I'd love to know about those owners and how they go about enjoying their Grand Complications!

Best,
Robert
