Of course, this is not exhaustive (and concerns 2015 only), so remember your can use our "search" tool (the magnifying glass icon at the top right hand corner) to find many other interesting (maybe!) sources. Furthermore, you still have our grey quick links at the end of posts which is a practical tool added this year as well.

... and place to 2016!
This being said, this year has again been a very pleasing horological year as we have especially been celebrating in March 2015 the end of the one-year celebration of the brand's 175th anniversary. Patek Philippe has provided a gorgeous array of limited editions worthy of this event and the legacy of the brand and I'm glad many of our members here could obtain several pieces and share them with us.
Next year will be very interesting too with the Nautilus' 40th Anniversary among others (Annual Calendar complication's 20th Anniversary, 5130 World Time's 10th Anniversary etc...) and of course the Basel fair.
But furthermore and more importantly, I would like to thank all of you who support PuristSPro and especially our Patek forum, in every ways, whether actively by sharing experiences, pictures, wishes, opinions or more discreetly as we know you are many to read and appreciate our threads. We all have in common to appreciate deeply reading, learning and sharing this passion of ours concerning watchmaking and to make this forum a special place.
I scrolled these last 2 years threads and fell on too much articles/pictures I wanted to have a look at again. What is gathered here is impressive and very valuable on a watchmaking standpoint. Be certain that we all passionate members of this forum appreciate a lot your wristshots, pictures, owners' feedback, discussion topics, questions asked, feedback/reports from the event you may have attended etc... in the polite, helpful and respectful way we all value so much. This is what make the richness (and to me the uniqueness) of this place.
I wish you all a healthy and happy new year for 2016!
Mark
The Patek Philippe Calatrava reference 5117 is a distinguished member of the Calatrava collection, known for its classic round case and understated design. This reference embodies the foundational principles of the Calatrava line, focusing on purity of form and horological precision. It represents a more contemporary interpretation of the dress watch aesthetic, appealing to collectors who appreciate traditional watchmaking with subtle modern refinements.
This reference typically features a case crafted from precious metals, housing an automatic movement. The sapphire crystal provides a clear view of the dial, while the transparent case back often reveals the finely finished caliber within. The dimensions are designed for comfortable wear, maintaining a balanced presence on the wrist, consistent with its dress watch designation.
The 5117 appeals to collectors seeking a refined and reliable dress watch from a prominent manufacturer. Its design ensures versatility, suitable for various formal occasions. As part of the Calatrava family, it holds a place among Patek Philippe's core offerings, representing a commitment to enduring design and mechanical excellence.
