My 3712 is the very last watch I will sell!
There are differences indeed. I once listed 7 differences but for me the case construction is the main difference.
I have seen in different field a lot of "improved" versions. Very often the improvements are based on costs and that's the case in my opinion in the issue 3712 vs. 5712.
I don't really care about the production numbers or the possible future value. I am just very surprised how well Patek has been able to hide the new case construction. In my opinion the watch went from the very original Genta design towards a conventional design that just looks like the original Genta. So I would have probably paid even +15k extra... meaning that in fact I got a real bargain!

Looks like quite a bit of difference that does not meet the eye. THE reason that PP moved to a 2 piece case construction form the original Genta 2 peice is just cost driven or was there perhaps a deemed flaw?

I am looking at my 5712 and it looks to me that even though the case is made of three parts the only way to open it is from the shoulders.
