The 5131 should have been the only enamel dial WT. now the enamel dial is imo just another production watch.

Will the price explode? No idea but I don’t think so.
After all they made the watch 14 years so there are probably 14.000 made. Just a guess... about 2-3 per year per dealer, 400 dealers.
Besides the price is already quite nuts at euro 65k. No need to go higher imo.

A reminder out of correctness that, as far as models being introduced or discontinued, there's *nothing* official yet -- this is currently just a rumor. As soon as any official announcement is made to the press, I will of course share it here immediately
Without commenting specifically on the 5711, please remember that most rumors that are circulated at this time of year about Patek references *are* inaccurate...even when these come from ADs/lower level employees/bloggers/etc., since (almost) anything can...
So....the price of this model (grey market, pre-owned) will skyrocket even more...dare I say, USD 100K ?
Fortunately I don't like this model, so no problem with me (not that I can afford it however). Congratulations for the owners out there.

unless they gain --what--20-30K a year?? Is it really financially meaningful? I sold a 5970 12 years ago for about 35K less than it is worth now... That is 2.9K a year... Like this 5711... yeah it's skyrocketing... but if you paid 50K for it --so what? Ye...

No matter it’s discontinued or not, the chance to get this reference nowadays is very slim. Regret for not getting this and chose 5712A instead few years ago, when it was not difficult to get both at AD.... even with discount from list price!!!

Always in an effort to stick to facts Bruno, enamel WTs have a very, very long and prestigious tradition for Patek, which started way earlier than the modern 5131 series.
As for opinions, I'm actually very happy this long-standing tradition is immediately continuing, in-catalog, with the 5231. I find it a more sensitive approach than, for instance, limiting future enamel WTs to the 5077/5089 series, or to sporadic LEs. Thi...

Perspective.
When a model number is discontinued, it is often replaced. 3940 begets 5140. 3700 begets (with some in between) 5711. So if they upgrade the movement they would give it a new number. Don’t worry, there will always be a nautilus that you can’t get.

If this model get discontinued, the market for one will climbed to million (HKD) for sure. Poor 5712A will be in the gutter..
Finally. Hopefully there won't be any successor for the most uninspiring, average manufactured and overhyped watch within the industry.
