Without commenting specifically on the 5711, please remember that most rumors that are circulated at this time of year about Patek references *are* inaccurate...even when these come from ADs/lower level employees/bloggers/etc., since (almost) anything can...
unless they gain --what--20-30K a year?? Is it really financially meaningful? I sold a 5970 12 years ago for about 35K less than it is worth now... That is 2.9K a year... Like this 5711... yeah it's skyrocketing... but if you paid 50K for it --so what? Ye...
Sorry for discussion of value. The subject of discontinuation especially with Patek is 'pregnant' with $$, but still, should refrain. Moderator, my apologies. Thanks.
it has been around for a long time since 2006.. I had gotten bored of mine n I have not been using it for the pass few years. I am excited n looking forward to the new replacement! Thank you for the tip off! 🥂 Jen
No matter it’s discontinued or not, the chance to get this reference nowadays is very slim. Regret for not getting this and chose 5712A instead few years ago, when it was not difficult to get both at AD.... even with discount from list price!!!
And that’s a pity ... I hoped they have the guts to stop making it for a decade or a bit longer. Or only make it in precious metal for example. Sometimes it’s just better to stop making it and go for something completely new... even if it’s a hot item Tha...

...to hear that demand and prices are increasing upon the news the model is being discontinued. Why pay an insane premium for a discontinued model that will almost certainly be replaced by an improved version? At a minimum, the clasp on the 5711 is long o...
When a model number is discontinued, it is often replaced. 3940 begets 5140. 3700 begets (with some in between) 5711. So if they upgrade the movement they would give it a new number. Don’t worry, there will always be a nautilus that you can’t get.
...but nice I guess. The designer who implemented the date window should have been fired on the spot. Congrats to you owners on making a bundle of cash. Dilettantes will flip them and Purists will keep them.
And so the Nautilus never really appealed to me. I always found it to look better in pictures than how it feels in real life. What I do like about the nautilus however is it’s ability to distract the fashion world from the real Patek candy that enthusiast...
