I see you have a strong connection with this reference
I remember you posted already on the previous little overview I made (here).
The pros you mentionned, that members mentionned and that I noticed as well were perfectly summed-up: comfort, size, elegance and the unique complication that remains a graal for many watch enthusiast, especially regarding Patek.
I also go through the same kind of questions, especially when the budget is very significant and when, after a long time, the watch still occupies a very high place in my list, it is a very strong clue about how I may enjoy it.
Very hard to tell "go for it" in the place of somebody else but I really don't see where the mistake can be on this one as long as you like it that much.
This classical cushion-shape case is more unique and original but remains timeless imho, thus less subject to fashion influence and "interest fluctuations".
An excellent choice to me, especially for such an event.
Keep on thinking about it and imagining having it on the wrist during the day and please keep us informed when you decide!
Cheers, Mark
