Wow! You own the watch?! As an owner, are there any short comings that I should be aware of? I actually love the cushion shaped case and adore watches from the 20s and 30s in small cushion shape cases. Regrettably, most cushion shape cases these days are much larger. For example, I like the Laurent Ferrier galet micro rotor but the cushion shaped case is 41mm. I think movements have become larger and more elaborate of late and kudos to Patek for still producing the thin and smaller movement!

Well all numerals are Arabic unless they happen to be Roman or in same cases written in a different language. It\'s based on the Arabic numeral system. Within that you would get different calligraphic fonts I would guess.

watch does not have the extra solid case back or the deployant clasp typical supplied on Patek "Grand Complications". Why I really do not know.

I find the 5940g very attractive.. The dial color and minute pearls are really classy, it sports a perfect size as a classical perpetual calendar.. Although the case shape is abit of an odd ball, you have to see it in on the wrist to really appreciate it ...

It is personal, of course, but I have found no shortcomings
Aside from the size of the cushion case, it is very thin and very comfortable to wear. I had a crush on the 5940g for some time, and just could not seem to shake it. I finally gave in, and have not looked back. True romance. One of my favorite pieces.
