I’ve never understood Nautilus fever. To my eyes they just look a little, well, boring frankly. Although better than the Royal Oak which is downright ugly.
I can think of countless watches I’d prefer to have for Nautilus money at RRP, and countless supercars I’d prefer to have for Nautilus grey market prices.
Market driven crazy by social media, culture and flippers. Relieved they do nothing for me.

I don't hate the Nautilus,
but watches like the Aquanaut and especially the Octo Finissimo, appeal much more to me. And that has nothing to do with the value of the Nautilus.

Tried on the 5712 and 5726 in steel when they were still readily available, but they didn‘t make my heart beat faster. I fell immediately for the 15202 on the other hand.

I bet even some of the people that pay the crazy prices are not so thrilled about it but they buy it because everyone else wants one.
I hate the nautilus too. It is an ugly watch. The aquanaut? Even uglier.
You don't need to try so much to like it. The shape of the dial, bezel and crystal is extremely ugly.
It is my honest opinion.
I don't laugh at your opinions. I prefer the design of the royal oak. I hate that the nautilus shape is a rounded octagon that still has corners. Not a shape that is easy to look at for me.

Also the bezel to dial proportion is off to my eyes. Dial looks too small compared to the bezel. I just really dislike this watch.

Not a nautilus fan either. More of a Royal oak guy. Haven’t handled anything but a 5712, and it left me cold after wearing it for a couple of weeks.
But such are matters of the heart. Objectively-speaking, the bracelet-closing mechanism and non-hacking movement left me un-impressed.

I’ve always liked the simplicity of the Nautilus. But I still opted for the Aquanaut first. While I wouldn’t trade my Aquanaut for a Nautilus, I would still love to pick one up someday if the prices come back to Earth or if I can get one at retail.

Never liked any of the elite sport watches personally. I get real tool watches for sports/diving. Add in the laughable prices for the Nautilus considering what you are getting. Makes me dislike it even more.

Is it something else you are referring to? Last I checked, the word "ugly" is in the dictionary and is not labeled as offensive, insulting or vulgar. I don't see how someone using the word ugly can be labelled as unfriendly. Just my opinion, of course.
