Of course, I have a good personal relationship with the Brand, and during the last three years, it's been both a pleasure and an honor to make some very important (sometimes exclusive) announcements on their behalf, to the benefit of this remarkable collector community.
In general, most major Brands are of course represented by a dedicated forum and by a moderator here on WPS (GO even has two moderators....who have my unrelenting admiration! ;-) It goes without saying that none of us would be able to properly function as moderators for such a relevant platform if we didn't enjoy a strong relationship with our respective Brands, were not regularly in touch with them, and weren't sent all the relevant materials to be shared with our fora (for mine, the live announcements of Patek's new models are obviously the most important moments of the year)... Plus, we do *lots* of other work behind the scenes that you might never get to see on here! 
But yes, all that I do on or for WPS is done entirely for free --- I was never paid a cent by either WPS or Patek Philippe I believe this to be the case for all moderators who preceded me, and for those who will come after me.

Thanks for commenting Filip :-) While I personally find these (specific) "haute joaillerie" versions of existing models to be totally unmatched combinations of jewelry and horology, I agree that, almost by definition, they cannot be for everyone! ;-)
Note the two models they take "inspiration" from, where pure horology is much more prominent: Ref. 5270 (of which we currently have three versions in catalog), and Ref. 6300. In particular, the latter is the worthy successor of the "Anniversary reference"...
Those are completely mesmerizing.
The way I tend to see it, one can pull it off (regardless of their sex - male, female and in between x) only if their sensibilities are such that they minimize absolutely everything about their presentation except the watch itself.... Then, in my mind, it...
You could definitely be right in your analysis --- we are speaking of such a rarefied group of collectors here (especially when it comes to the 6300) that it's difficult to make general statements...
... but I honestly wouldn't be shocked if, at that level, even a 6300 might get "competition in the presentation" for some collectors! (A car? a plane? Or maybe really noting?? ) For sure, in this day and age, lots of people will be waiting to see the fir...

due to my current line of work, I've found myself 'rubbing shoulders' with a few billionaires on a frequent basis, and I can tell you that 'your typical billionaire' (whatever that might mean), would never sport something along these lines on a frequent b...

My favorite part is the clasp! I especially like the clasp! I've been thinking about this clasp since I saw the 5971!
I seriously think they are *spectacular* pieces, for me the red in particular must be something breathtaking on the wrist! The only thing honestly needed to be considered is the $348k vs. the $211k for the "standard" 5270P ;-)
Patek is reading this thread, so who knows, maybe they'll decide to reward a top-tier collector like yourself if you submit a request! All of these pieces, including the two 5271s, will of course be extremely limited despite their being in regular product...
They are nothing short of spectacular indeed.
I'll have to treat myself when I have a better year. This year was already filled with some big treats and it already wasn't a good year.
When you say Patek is reading this thread and when you refer as "we" when speaking of patek makes me assume you work for them or are somehow affiliated ?

The fur inside of a coat is a touch of class, while personally I wear it rarely (often in winter I just go for big cashmere scarves), it can look REALLY elegant on a man who can wear it! :-)
I'm with you on these buckles, they are simply works of art in their own right! I've been paying more attention to them since I got my 5088 last year --- its P buckle is hand-engraved to match the "Volutes and Arabesques" dial, and sometimes I stare at it...

A lot of brands do the buckle in white gold with a platinum cased watch. But didn't know that was going on in this specific case.
Correct, the whole 5160G, hence including the buckle, is in G gold (of course easier to work with than P, but this definitely doesn't detract anything from its spectacular details! ;-)

Thanks Filip, I honestly don't know more about these cufflinks but my guess is they may *not* be purchased separately from the watch, given their "6300" reference number (it will be no problem to ask though, if you are interested).

I find the Patek product photography fairly ugly. The backgrounds and some of the angles are really unpleasant to look at.

I love diamonds on time pieces anyway and feel that these are some of the best looking in the market. A "standard" black dialed 5270P is already a spectacular watch but these here are from out of this world!

Please just note that while all four of these new models are technically in-catalog, production will be *extremely* limited... I doubt they will even be available as part of the carnet for client events this year, so for most people the best bet will just...
