From my perspective, leaving something as an inheritance to our children shouldn't become a burden for them.
It's an act of love, and they should be free to do what they want with it. Boy or girl, it doesn't matter; if they decide to sell the watch or watches we've carefully passed on to them, well, so be it. These watches will continue their lives in a different way and will probably end up finding a wrist that will embrace them.
I'm fortunate to have three children who love the watches in my collection, and everything leads me to believe they will take great care of them and enjoy wearing them and, probably, passing them on in turn. But if they ultimately decide to sell them or leave them to gather dust in a safe, that will be their prerogative, and the story of these watches won't end there, even if it's impossible to know how it will continue.
Best, Emmanuel
