First of all, welcome here.
You have obviously studied PP offerings quite well. All three alternatives you mention, are fantastic watches and represent Patek DNA well. When speaking about the perpetual, 5140P with blue dial is really a fantastic watch and possibly only 5550P can beat it. Technically 5170 is a fantastic chronograph and I really like the black dial. I believe that in a year or two we will see also the platinum model. And finally, 5960 is a cool watch. There are three nice platinum versions and I considered all of them as a while ago it was still possible to find new samples from the retailers. However, I finally went for 5960/1A as it is a more usable version than the platinum ones. To compensate the lack of 5960P, I bought 5905P. Also that watch is quite something and actually pretty much more affordable than 5960P. In 5960 the automatic chronograph is very nice but the annual calendar is not as sophisticated as the perpetual 5140. Finally, both 5140 & 5170 are quite slim taking into account the complication but 5960 is one of the thickest PP available.
Have fun with your decision and please remember to show us here what you finally decided to acquire.
Best, Kari

New visitor to the forum here and looks like there is a lot of experts that can help me make the right decision... I currently have 5036 Annual Calendar that I do not seem to wear anymore - for some reason ( getting older perhaps ?) I'm not a fan of a gol...

Kari, thank you so much for your feedback and assistance, it totally makes sense. You mentioned 5140p in blue dial - I know you have one or several with that color, do you think it withstand the changing times as I know its a popular color choice of dial ...
Tricky question Yegor...

I took 5905 in black because in my opinion there are too many blue dials around. I'm afraid that in 10-20 years these blue ones look like "2015-2016 Blue Boom". I like a lot 5140P with black dial but I'm not a fan of the diamonds. But all of this - is sim...

Mark, thank you so much for your advise in selection and also in aesthetics /fashion use as well. You are "responsible" for adding 5205R to the list, especially since its much more affordable then other considerations. Initially I focused on platinum case...

My one go to Patek is the 5960P with the anthracite dial. This is a piece that suits my lifestyle and aesthetic taste more than any other time piece I have encountered. The 016 is so phenomenally beautiful that I hope I never run into the unfortunate oppo...
Final two

Thanks everyone again!!! I'm narrowing down to the final two. Although not exactly in the same price range, but strangely based on a combination of looks and an overall emotional attachment. 5205 R black dial and 5960p 016. Advise? Would extra $ be worth ...
