5960P-016
My one go to Patek is the 5960P with the anthracite dial. This is a piece that suits my lifestyle and aesthetic taste more than any other time piece I have encountered. The 016 is so phenomenally beautiful that I hope I never run into the unfortunate opportunity to acquire one!!! It is just so phenomenal. The black successor is however not far away in my opinion, suppose I have to feel the larger case on the arm to make a real opinion on whether I find it appropriate but make more sense as a complement ... Sorry for the ramble but agree if only one Patek could be owned and the only two choices were the black 5960 and 5905 I would also go for the 5960... But for me right now I am warming up to the idea of a black 5905 assuming the size feels ok that is....

Thank you so much - I love love 5905! Choice between dials will be an interesting battle for sure - I think initially I was concerned about thickness of the watch as I wanted something to be worn comfortably with a suit. Decisions, decisions.

The thickness of this watch is 13.55 mm while 5905 is 14.03 mm. At the same time the latter is 1.5 mm larger. Seriously: how much less than 0.5 mm in thickness means? I do not feel any difference of thickness when I'm changing from my 5960 to my 5905. Bes...

5960p is now out of consideration due to availability and how much I can spend unfortunately. There is 30,000 difference between 5205 and 5905 black dial. I guess its down to those options today. This making my head hurt.
