I agree with you, the 001 is special in that it's the first in-house movement, personally I see that as a big step for Patek coupled with the introduction of their seal. The 018 on the other hand is rarer and is considered the most evolved of the three. Time will tell I guess.

The 5270 is very weak on resale. I think the in-house movement is a big improvement, but the dial lacks the snap of the earlier models. I also think this segment of the watch market has been very hard-hit by the retraction of the watch industry worldwide....

It is interesting that sometimes the non-inhouse movement watches are more coveted, even though the in house movement is widely regarded as superior.
