I can't help but agree,
It's sad, but PP are clearly losing their magic touch and continue to get more commercial with every passing day. The watches they make today aren't a patch on what they did in the golden era of about 1940-1960. Too much bling, and too little attention on the heart that beats inside. I'd not buy any of the new watches PP today make, and have kept away from even the fabulous vintage pieces out there in recent yrs, having experienced and been let down time and again the poor service and spares support from this company.
From being a die hard PP fan just a few yrs ago, I've now given up expecting too much from them, and instead find other brands like Lange, Omega, VC, Rolex, even Cartier are making so much more of a sincere effort.

Hopefully,like Manchester United, this period of bad form will pass. I just don't want to be sitting around thinking about the good old days when United won the treble and tons of trophies and Patek made beautiful watches.

No question arises... 'how do I read this weird chronograph?' You look at it and instantly recognize the design. It truly makes you wonder why anything, other than technology, has been changed. yes that might be 'boring' ... But look at Rolex--essentially...
Same feeling here... that is timeless elegance, and that, for me, is Patek.
