I tend to agree. It's awkward in execution
and not a patch on balance achieved in the dial of the whimsical 3712 or 5712. It should work, but it just somehow doesn't.
As for the impracticalities of it as a 'sports' watch it just doesn't gel as an overall approach.

The 5976 is an icon for sure but damn you need the wrist to wear it. According to my AD the order list is full for almost 10 years already.... i’m counting off the days.

I'm glad I kept mine so long! This new reference is a sure shot winner. I can't wait to see it in the metal. I'm not a huge PP fan. However, this one I would love to own some day.

When is the 5740 igoing to be available
I have a deposit on one (1st in mine) and I have seen it in Geneva. It’s amazing, but no one actually knows the release date.

I spoke with my salesperson in Geneva when I was in the store last week and it will not be available until October/November. October at the earliest.

the new store opening of my AD and Patek boutique the next day. Suitably attired and spruced up I arrived with a swagger and glass of champagne....ooops a mistake...the watch wasn't on the flight....we don't know what happened we were told its on its way....
