Got the PAM 662 !

Jun 24, 2020,13:01 PM

First of all a big THANK YOU to all the community that helped me with the quick survey  ( ) in deciding which PAM Radiomir 47mm to get.

It was a close tie perhaps with the 721 being on the lead but -- locally -- I could see and experience the PAM 662 and after reading more about it and trying it in the metal I was in love and bought it ! (may be a post-corona quick buy).

My previous Panerai were 42mm (Radiomir 336 and 718) and the pam 786 set with 2 luminor. I was always fascinated by a even more classic Panerai with plexiglass and even larger sizes! I don't have a big wrist but owning and wearing also a big pilot I can say that this 662 is not as thick and perhaps just a lil bit bigger but fits fine on my wrist (or so I feel).

So I am happy to share some pics of the watch, also during the purchase process! It seems that the movement is common to the other radiomir 47mm and fits very well with the watch.

What do you think ?
A totally side note question: I have been told that almost all Panerai leather straps are safe to swim with.., I hope that I got this right?!
Thanks again for watching

This is a very appealing reference from Panerai Plexy, right? It should be interesting to see it age gracefully, its visual warmth should be nice and is very appropriate for such a retro looking watch. Enjoy!

Plexi it is. [nt]

I’m so glad you chose the 662 which was my choice as well. Pretty amazing these watches are still around to be purchased new (maybe it was used, assuming it was new) as had this been 15 years ago it would have sold for double retail or more. I think you b...

Yes quick because I was "poisoned" but some of the posts in this forum 🤔It is new from an AD. I don't usually buy used watches: I love that it was available at my trusted AD. I am glad it is not as crazy to get these pieces because that would be a turn of...

Looks wonderful on your wrist, love the first pic which captures the essence of the dial. As for swimming your mileage may vary depending on your strap, I swam with my ponte vecchio several times, mostly freshwater and it only came unglued recently. I hav...

It’s one the most beautiful watches out there. I borrowed my 662 with one crying eye to my father as he fall as well in love with it. The 662 is really a strap bitch. U can take straps with almost any kind of colors. The dial will adapt to it. Therefore I...

Thank you for the kind words and the nice pics !

3 days power reserve is very convenient and I like the in-house no frills movement!
