Montblanc

Ha! 😁

I am after refinement AND coolness.

I think the term "coolness" is very flexible and subjective, mon ami.

The Montblanc Star Legacy Suspended Exo Tourbillon (this is the full name) is definitely the more "classic" watch but no less "cool" for me.

Look at this special balance wheel construction (which has been raised 3.2mm higher than the rest of the dial) and the efforts of Villeret to make the Tourbillon and whole movement more efficient.
In this special construction for example the cage, which is balanced by two gold pillars that equilibrate it, is free of the weight of the balance wheel.
The few reviews I have read all say that the Exo Tourbillon design seems to be far more energy-efficient than a conventional tourbillon execution.

I am still enamored by the GP Neo Tourbillons. They are mind blowing, wonderful and … ā€œcoolā€, too.

And the construction of the three bridges and how they are designed is a classic. I am especially in love with the Titanium version. And a very intriguing new iteration might follow.

But in terms of price I have also to confess, that these GP Neo Tourbillons are a completely different (higher) price category, too.

Best
Thomas
