and so many personal hopes for the model, maybe it was impossible for JLC to release something that wouldn't have disappointed you. I need to sit with them before any final conclusions, but I do like the new case shape, and the crown works congruently for... 

There's no doubt that love and passion make you more demanding, and that long waits are a source of idealization... However, that's not knowing me well: I never have any preconceived ideas in life, but I always say what I think, good or bad. If something ...

...as for moon phase, the old version looks like it uses the silk-screen moon from the Reverso, which is inelegant. The metal disc is simpler but more elegant.

And this blue is not the one I prefer (I mean the color) ... ...  

...the large dots on the moonphase print remind me of bargain printing...essentially newspaper quality...

And no (for me) in terms of poetry And if we consider the watch as a whole... the first version of the Duometre is less cold, less clinical, even though the new domed sapphire brings more softness to the line... ...  

I agree with you on the crown - it might not be a good fit for the case. While there's nothing extremely groundbreaking here, I'd say that JLC did a good job - the case is beautiful and a perfect combination of strong German design and a more delicate rou... 

And there are a lot of things I don't find coherent... and I think that's a bit of a shame....

I do find the new Duometre offering attractive and a nice re-take on the double barrel complication movement. The one-line one-case motto isn't exactly a secular tradition. In fact most movement lines historically have had different cases to fit the style... 

I also like the shape of the case... It's its re-use for a new duometer that bothers me. As for the rest, I've said what I think... and I understand that others have a different point of view - fortunately. It's a shame because there's some interesting st... 

I fear that your observations will prove accurate with the passage of time and as more info will become available

The price is due to the "golden number" slogan, which is not an exclusive Jaeger LeCoultre copiryght... It must have been registered by the entire watchmaking industry... #thegreatwatchmakingconspiracy

has an incremental change and not radical one. For me the gold one was a bit bulky so I do look forward to try the steel.

This is why I didn’t buy the earlier as much as I loved it. If repair and services experiences with Reverso were an indication, I cannot imagine the cost and time for this one when my kids send it in 40 years from now.

Today it’s €1800 and 2 months

I sent my Duometre à chronographe for service a couple years ago. The watch went to Swizerland and the all operation took approx 2 months. On a different note, I was lucky enough to try the new Duometre à chronographe yesterday (rose gold version) and was... 

The case is cool but not new The more open dial with the doomed sapphire is nice but with the longer lugs… the watch looks really bigger… And the crown… the crown…

A service costs €1,800 - which isn't that much considering the complexity of the movement and the number of parts (it's the price of a service for a much less complicated PP 5110) and it took me 2/3 months following the incident I suffered, which is reaso... 

To summarize: JLC’s golden years are behind them and they have become experts in reminding one of that.

took me weeks to figure which email was linked to the account... Thank you for that excellent series of posts. Indeed the new Duomètres are everything we knew they'd be. One question that is bugging me at the highest level is.... if it comes with a pouch ...

I agree with many points you are making but still find it a good move to return the Duometre to the catalogue, as it adds something unique to the brand 😊👍🏻

I agree with most of it when it is about dials, hands and crown. It is very hard to beat the original Chronograph which is in essence the ultimate Duomètre in my eyes. On the case, it looks a bit slimmer but I am surprised by how much the glass actually p... 

I like the master grande tradition case but not on the Duometre line… The new doomed saphir case is nice but the dial is so more opened and with longer lugs the watch looks really big As for the rest, I've already said what I had to say.... Best Ø ...  

Will not waste time with the new duometre. I cannot understand the new aesthetic as I much prefer the older one. It looks and feels different. The complications are boring. The movement is less beautiful as well with the change in material. Asking price i...
