Compensation may not that different either since the group is ultimately overhead vs directly tied to revenue at the brands. Best case they are reorging to people's strengths and this is seen internally as an investment into JLC for the future. If I were ...

Now even the food tastes the same after being reheated… On the other hand it seems that the forced women leadership is also a failure. I see AP in a similar shoe. I would love to see him succeed though!

The problem is not just the product it’s more the insane prices the brands set and I seriously doubt they will ever lower them, since they have to satisfy shareholders… Sadly one can make a superb product all day if it becomes unaffordable. But hope never... 

When I first got into this hobby around 2009, JLC was one of my favourites. Like many others I hope he can bring back some of the intrigue and innovation, instead of iterations!

I’m quite happy to see him back at the helm. It’s time for Jaeger-LeCoultre’s horology to make a come back. Daniel Riedo has slimmed the range (maybe it was necessary but it was bad for hard core fans). Catherine Renier has made a lot on the « habillage »... 

Having already climbed to the top of the Richemont ladder, I'm hoping Mr. Lambert's is returning to JLC with passion and an intent to stick around for the long term. From my outside perspective, Jerome the Group CEO did no favours for the brand where he r... 

It's hard to lower prices but what he can do is introduce new lines with better value so it isn't seen as lowering prices. It's the only way to surviv, the air has gotten very thin at the top price points.

Voting with one's wallet is the ultimate decider. 😎👍

I look forward to the creations he will foster. I enjoyed our interactions with Catherine. However Jerome is a real watch guy and his passion was behind a number of the brand’s gems. Looking forward to see him again.

JLC did very interesting models these last 3-4 years. The only complaint is the price tag which has gone up to the roof compared to the will of customer to pay such price tag. So previous CEO was not bad in my opinion, only didn’t understand the customer ... 

He'll help to bring JLC back to its former glory.

JLC reached the peak when M. Lambert was at the helm. There were so many watches coming out with characters. But, was he the deputy head of the Richemont Group prior to returning to JLC? Does this mean a reduction in his authority ？

Maybe his personal choice.

I feel bad for some of these CEO appointments as it takes years to develop new products, strategies, and processes. There is so much legacy to work through. At least Richemont is willing to let its brands innovate and then communicate. Swatch does virtual... 

I see that as an amazing news for our favorite brand! Go JLC, Go!! I just reaised that except my True Second, all my JLC come from the Lambert's era! (the TS movement may already have been in the making in his last years!) Best, E. ...  

Your 2 first watches, Master Ultrathin and Master Réveil are products from the Henry-John Belmont years, although they have been carried over for several years after the passing of the millenium.
