This is a Watch you will never see, other than at the Heritage Gallery of the JLC Manufacture, or during an " all over the world " exhibition, if you are Lucky.
This Watch was made circa 1935, to celebrate Mrs Earhart's flight between Mexico and New York on the 8th of May 1935.
The laquered engraving is sublime and may give some ideas to those of us who own a Reverso with a solid verso side.
The simplicity of a dial displaying the hour, minute and the small seconds on a classic and understated white- quite normal- background...
Contrasting with a very elegant, eye catching and envouting decorum, just to remind that the Grande Maison doesn't not only watchmakers, but also artists.
If you add the historical dimension of this piece unique, well... You have a milestone, an impossible one to get, which is necessary for a Watch collector, just to feed his dreams.
I thought it would be good to see some real pictures of this Watch, with its dial which has never been taken in picture...
Best,
Nicolas.
