I think you are right Alex, Its certainly a grey
area. How much 'hands on' input do various watchmakers have on their creations.
Everyone would have their own theories on this.
The great thing about independent watchmaking in general is that one can pick
up the phone and talk to the watchmaker himself. It would become apparent
straight away how involved they are. (& of course for some people this is not important)
