Max B and friends is unlikely to produce a watch to win me over. For a start Max himself gave me the daily tolerance and the daily deviation was too great for such a finely finished timepiece. Secondly as much as I love the legacy machines, I have owned a LM101 before and it was way too impractial to wear due to its height. So maybe a Voutilainen or a Rexhep but not a MB&F for me.

One of the reasons I actually did not order the watch 4 years ago when I first tried it on was because the wait was only 9 months. I am a total loony and actually like the wait although I would have preffered it to be 3 to 4 years. But 5 is ok

It is totally understandable that the wait time is not for everyone!
And that works out perfectly actually because if every enthusiast was happy to wait 6,8 or 10 years for a watch, the waiting lists would be hyper long!

I can sympathize with the wait. I am 6 months in waiting on a KV, with an expected delivery of "early 2025." The waiting is the hardest part.
So while waiting it is important to keep ourselves pre occupied with other pursuits
- like buying other watches or actually doing something entirely different! Congratulations on the Voutilainen - one of my favourite brands that I do not own!
