Any George Daniels wristwatch. Not because of the obvious value or exclusivity, but because of the workmanship.

His watches are mesmerizing to me, even if they lack the incredible finishing of other makers. It's the thought of the man's process--picturing him sitting at his bench filing a gear or making a tiny screw--that's where the value is for me.
Of the watches I currently own, the JLC Master Control Calendar on bracelet is one of my most versatile for daily wear so I'd probably choose that. Casual enough for every day, durable in all weather with its bracelet, very comfortable, yet still looks good for dress. Plus, unlike many here, I appreciate a date function. Those of you who are retired may understand--I never have any idea what day or date it is ever since retiring almost 19 years ago.
And although I could have chosen a Rolex for the same reasons, I find the JLC more under the radar, which is usually important to me.
