After getting the Longines sector dial yesterday, Nico suggested to see both the Longines and the CK859 side by side. When I first got the CK859 earlier this year, I thought these two reference were too similar to get them both. However I could not get th...
I like the vintage omega logo and recessed sub seconds and the shape of the hands. Everytime one gets posted I start making justification in my head 🤣 Longines is cool in its own but prefer the omega in this duo. Longines with milanese bracelet is slick. ...
In this dilema of not being an easy choice I feel the best solution is go for your move: own both! Lol! Enjoy them so much my friend and in the best of good health! Cheers! Abel
Another handsome sector dial to consider that’s closer to the CK859 in price is the (now discontinued) JLC Master Control Sector Dial. It’s significantly thinner, but it does have a date window that is a turn off for some. Or own all three for the sector ...
I’ll say it’s a draw between the Omega and the Longines dial wise. It was the Longines that reminded me of the Habring/Massena colab. Both very nice 👏 HAGWE 👊🍻
Thanks for putting together the side-by-side comparison 🙏 Prefer the omega: Dial has no eaten numeral, shorter lugs and better movement. Love the bracelet of the Longines and prefer its second hands too. Though choice but CK wins for me, Cheers, Jerome ...
I have to agree with jiggerly-cool and jp75 about the dial. The toppled over 3 doesn't bother me so much but the half-eaten 6...I just don't get it. its sort of like when they were designing the dial they didn't realize that they were going with 6 o'clock...
Omega takes the win of best case, but Longines dial is a winner. Much cleaner than the almost cluttered dial of the Omega. By a very slight margin the Longines takes the win.
Just a wonderful pair!!! Your newly acquired Longines is very fine indeed, but I am biased by the design of the CK as a previous owner of the 5296 sector (which was the reason why I had to get it based on the first photo I ever saw - which happened to be ...
The depth and texture of that silver dial, and those voluptuous blue hands, on the CK are to-die-for. I strongly considered the Longines for a very long time, but the lack of alternating polished/brushed surfaces on the case left me feeling cold. I can’t ...
Do not count this one. If i open my wallet, i want to spend wats in to the CK. Albeit Longines put on the strap i want to see on the CK how it looks…. I like when Longines put on a flying hourglass on a dial, but i guess it do not fit well on a heritage m...
I did have the Longines and still have the Omega. Both are winners but there are clear differences: - the Longines has a very attractive dial layout and is without a doubt the price/quality winner - the Omega has a clearly more sophisticated and better fi...
After handling both the Omega and Longines, it's pretty clear why there's such a price difference between the two. I don't mind the busier dial on the Omega but those hands kept bothering me because they're practically identical, not just in appearance, b...
