Horological Meandering: Maybe its harder with a large manufacturer to expect them to follow your instructions...

...but can't you just ask them to return the original parts after they're done servicing. That way if you ever wanted to return the watch to "original" condition you could. Automotive: Here's one from Eugene

The toppled over 3 doesn't bother me so much but the half-eaten 6...I just don't get it. its sort of like when they were designing the dial they didn't realize that they were going with 6 o'clock small seconds.
