She is right: the Speedmaster strap does seem out of balance with the Duometre. The grey straps are superb As far as the stitch is concerned: I don’t like the double stitch that much, it’s too much and defeats the purpose. But that rose gold stitch, which... 

But regardless of the stitching color, the strap is gorgeous.

And it works very well with the dial. I think a gold stitch takes the focus away from the dial. To some extent, anyway. The silver doesn’t draw attention to the strap. That would be my preference.

I went with blue contrast stitching so I already voted for option 1 with my wallet. One thing also considered was an asymmetric stitching pattern - silver stitching on the left and blue (gold for you) stitching on the right to match the dial layout with s... 

I most likely will get a few more straps since I like different looks so one will surely be some sort if nubuck calf (standard or racing type) 👍 I do agree with most of what you said but since the Duometres are in precious metal, mine 2 being white gold a...
