Just one month after the Ultraman, here is another Speedmaster limited... Sold out at Hodinkee... I quite like the use of - the thinner FOiS case, - the grey/blue hue of the main dial - the arabic numbers for a change But the non fonctional colours in the...  

Hopefully more models will come like that.

Compared to the beauteuous charm of RJB's Tuesday. The font's too large. Missed opp to use applied logo. Same mistake as the awful so called MK40 version from the late 90s with the seconds track tick length same as fractions makes for poor readability. Po... 

I can relate to Ben's story of his Grandpa etc, it's similar for me and I'm sure many others. But I find it a missed opportunity to do something really good. If you are going to do a limited Speedy it didn't need to be this 'Homer - ga' watch.

I understand why most folks would be put off by it: the colors, the non-Lemania 5100 elements (airplane hand) without the functionality (split colored subdial w/out 24-hour hand), etc But for me, as my favorite watch is the Rolex Pepsi GMT-Master I/II wit... 

Just shows how good the original is. But in this version it looks a bit like a Chopard Mille Miglia to me. And I like the Chopard better in this instance.

Not sure about everyone else, but I have Omega fatigue with all the unlimited LEs they keep bring out. The blogger (Hodinkee) collaboration IMHO devalues Omega's luxury image and cheapens their brand. This product will give them short-term marketing hype,... 

An easy pass for me.

Unattractive to my eye. No appeal whatsoever. Surprised, as I otherwise enjoy Hodinkee.

My bet would be Hodinkee, that watch and their total coverage of VC, was a net positive for VC. I'd guess there are a large number of watch guys in NYC alone that would never have stepped inside of the VC Boutique or purchased a VC without Hodinkee. I cou...

This Speedy "Mk40" was the first watch the Hodink founder received from his grandfather and what got him interested in watches which eventually led to the website we all know and some love and others hate

I have to admit that I am also getting a bit sick of all the Omega limited editions that keep on getting released. But what I do like about this one is that it is a bit different. Not since the Snoopy has really been much difference is the limited edition... 

It will ruin the mechanical watch industry. I just can't wrap my mind around the short game most brands are playing, unless they've resigned themselves to cash out as quickly as possible because the clock is ticking on the industries viability. I hope thi... 

And don't forget for the average watch buyer a LE is something that feels somewhat special. Only 2000 in the whole world, wow. Omega have been playing this game for years and years. I'm the proud owner of one not so limited LE from the early 2000's. And h... 

IMHO peedmaster is such a perfect and strong design. It almost always looking good no matter how Omega modify it. This one is just a bit too colourful. Nonetheless the way they keep making limited edition is dillutive to the value.

i like the use of numerals, having said that all - it is not for me ;-) + sold out in less than 1 hour....i highly doubt that story - but unfortunately in today's world, what you see in 'internet' is considered 'truth' ! thats IMHO Best, mahesh.,

Won’t be my most positive post I’m afraid The watch? Not for me, don’t like these colours and font. If you like this go try to find a 20 year old zenith el primero rainbow Hodinkee? Used to be the best blog.... until years ago when it became way too comme... 

but this is a Luna Park to me, besides that I wonder if all these Speedy models do good to the original model. Who wants another Speedmaster next year. Personally I rather stick with a nice fat Breguet XX. GEO
