I wanted to thank you all for your replies. I, of course, was in no way looking to incite a brand war, even though my use of levity and sarcasm my have suggested otherwise. I was however looking to gain some enlightenment from all of you who have far greater knowledge than I. Mission accomplished! For example, I really wasn't aware of the level of finishing of Lange. I knew they made exquisite movements, the datagraph for example, and pieces that really take my breath away....Lange 1 is absolutely stunning. As a classical musician, albeit not professionally, I have great appreciation for art in any form, and I can find no greater form of physical art then that which I can wear on my wrist. So I most certainly agree that there is something unique and amazing about any and all timepieces of this caliber. And of course I realize that it is far easier to compare specific watches then it is to compare brands, but of the big brand companies, I have heard far more recently about Patek and Lange than I have about Breguet. I just wanted to verify that they are still keeping up with their tradition and tremendous history. Thank you all for taking the time to read/respond!

While I can't confirm this, the folks at the NYC Breguet Boutique tell me that Breguet will service any watch ever made by Breguet. I can say I wrote them about a not-too-old but out-of-production gold bracelet I wanted serviced and they were very patient...
