and very evident in your words. The world of handcrafted watches most of us agree is absurd, riducuous and indulgent, but who cares? That's why like minded enthusiasts find a safe haven here not to be judged. At the level of finishing and craftsmanship of Breguet, Patek, Lange and Vacheron you are referring to I think you'll find many advocates for each and many more brands especially independents. With the exception of some models from Rolex and Patek, 99% of the rest is about passion and subjective preference.
From my subjective experience Lange has the finest finishing... full stop. I happen to quite enjoy many of their models, which most admittedly aren't as elegant as breguet. They do exude masculine cases and strength. It's all about personal preference. I think you'll find many Breguet fans here. Best,

and thank you for your thought provoking post. I think we can safely say that the holy trinity is a thing of the past and there is no way AP can now compete with Vacheron let alone Patek. In my opinion, Patek has no true rivals among the larger companies....

While I can't confirm this, the folks at the NYC Breguet Boutique tell me that Breguet will service any watch ever made by Breguet. I can say I wrote them about a not-too-old but out-of-production gold bracelet I wanted serviced and they were very patient...
