Oh...I don't mean to disparage the astonishing achievement of a movement with only 51 parts and one screw fastening the whole thing together...
...but it's still a movement that can't be serviced so it'll have to be replaced or the watch will be discarded. I consider that kinda a bummer since I have watches that are 80years old and still serviceable.
But that's the same with 99% (made up statistic) of quartz watches and probably ALL "smart watches" so in the end I guess what's the big deal?

For someone new to this hobby and were considering divers from so many micro brands….They will do better with this BP Swatch at similar price point… Looks set to be a home run for Swatch. Now let the snaking queue begin……

Not sure how I feel. It's a good edition, but I'd also have loved to see a BP dress watch style supported by the Swatch marketing muscle.

I don't think Blancpain will be prisoner or anything...the Moonswatch collaboration worked well in boosting both Swatch and Omega
and I suspect the Blancpain will do the same. Also, being mechanical, it respects the spirit of Blancpain but makes it immediately more recognisable among diffent audiences.

From what I hear and see in Geneva, Blancpain is more a dead dog with fleas. I have never encountered one in the wild ! You see lots of AP, Rolex and PP, but no Blancpain. It is a shame since I love the brand.
They look hideous to me. MoonSwatch is so much more "normal" looking.

The cool factor is indeed a great plus on the Swatch here, they also look very nice as I already stated. But on the other hand Citizen and seiko also have very very cool watches and a great variety as well ... off course they lack the name and the 'Swiss ...
