in interesting ways that I am not privy to, and would be curious to see if there are explanations online. It's not as simple as X amount per mile driven, it depends on the time of day and traffic conditions, including overall demand for the service. The price for my 16 mile trip was usually between $35 and $40, which is in line with that rideshare services like Uber or Lyft would charge, only without the obligation of leaving a tip for a human operator.... For example, if I have an appointment at a certain time and location that normally takes me 30 minutes to get to, do I need to budget 1 or more hours to get there if I’m taking a Waymo (assuming same time of day, traffic, etc)?

I was on the, relatively speaking, higher end of those costs last year with a large truck (F-150) that cost me $1,250 pm to finance, plus $250 for insurance and then a couple hundred dollars for gas. All in, not too far off of a two thousand dollar bottom...
