For example, if I have an appointment at a certain time and location that normally takes me 30 minutes to get to, do I need to budget 1 or more hours to get there if I’m taking a Waymo (assuming same time of day, traffic, etc)?

it does follow the speed limit rules, but it seldomly drives below the limit - only on the occasion that it feels there is a liability/hazard involved which happens fairly infrequently! My daily commute was 16 miles in one direction, and it took me right ... 

Just haven't gotten around to it yet. At least you don't have to tip the driver!

Whilst I have no issues with the technology in fact with the way a lot of people nowadays drive I think it is going to make the roads far safer. I find the costs you have quoted quite high as it appears to cost $2.50 per mile or £2 a mile for people like ...

I sort of understand that is how charges are now calculated by most of these services, but what I was alluding to but maybe not clear about is how does this compare to leasing a car and either charging it or filling it with petrol in relation to monthly c... 

I was on the, relatively speaking, higher end of those costs last year with a large truck (F-150) that cost me $1,250 pm to finance, plus $250 for insurance and then a couple hundred dollars for gas. All in, not too far off of a two thousand dollar bottom...
