I like the PF more than the ROC, without question. Now if it were the current 41mm ROC with new movement and proper date location, I would keep the AP.
...not crazy about the pushers on the AP but I prefer the contrasting sub-dials on the AP vs PF. But if you get the ss Off Shore you'll be heavy on AP...arguably not the worst scenario one could find one's self in but still if variety's a consideration......
Let alone two solid gold, blue faced chronographs. The PF is more low key, and to my eye, slightly prettier. Choice between the two might depend on the other three watches you keep. But you're brave trying to cut down to 4.
My mother always said “if you don’t have anything nice to say….” But since you asked….no! Of the above…life is too short to have four watches in precious metals and blue dials. If you said “forty watches”, game on! I’d take a Daytona, Datograph, PP perpet...
those two may have been attainable. No AP in my collection (yet) but I do have a Parmigiani and a few other respectable pieces. Four is a fantasy but having only those particular two is a nice fantasy too!
If you want to limit the number of watches, I would say that indeed, they are too similar to keep both. Which one to keep? That's the problem, I fully understand you, it's really horrible to make these kind of decisions, because they're different watches ...
