Pretty incredible craftsmanship, finishing, details, etc. Sizing is perfect at 42mm and the Tourbillon cage is incredible. And a really cool box (it actually lights up)!
Again, not for everybody. I also think there could have been equally successful if they reduced the edition to 100 pieces or less and offered it at a different level to be more consistent with Jacob and/or RM. Then it could somehow justify the slightly outrageous and bold design.
My guess is there are probably an incredible list of Black Panther affiliated actors/actresses, artists, writers, producers, directors, executives, and of course sports and pop culture stars which will go for this one more than any other typical AP limited edition.
In any case, it will be interesting to see what will be the longer term impact. I believe there is still great potential here and a bold strategy which is not so inconsistent with AP's history - 50 years ago the Royal Oak launched with substantial backlash and years later Patek copies the strategy, and is (maybe a little long time) become one of the most sought out watches in the category.
Cheers
