Briefly my thought about the whole "replacement parts" is - watches are not cars. If there are worn out parts in a modern watch it is on the brand - either issues with the quality of the parts themselves or with assembly / lubrication. Unless of course the watch has been butchered by an incompetent watchmaker, or dropped or exposed to extreme humidity or something similar. Which is not the case here.
Richemont is really playing with fire, as clear from the thread collectors won't respond well to enormous hidden service costs and being penalized for poor quality controls ...
