That's a possible hypothesis. As titanium is difficult to polish/ mill, due to it's "sticky" metal texture, which is something I learnt from my M7 titanium collection. Best, Henry

But personally I deplore that most brands are now headed by marketeers rather than industrialists like e.g. Guenter Bluemlein.

This "reward" argument would have some weight if they applied it to customers of their AD's as well
But that's not what they do with the Odysseus, which I see as a land grab from A.L&S to capture the retailer's margin from its AD's. And bundle it with the purchase of another watch for good measure, unless one wants to wait for their allocation forever. ...
