Being a client with just one Zeitwerk (and got it from AD, no boutique), I guess I have zero chance to get an allocation. Nevertheless, The grey dial matches the greyish titanium metal very well, giving it a monochrome out fit. Very well done. Probably ca... 

popped in to the Bond Street boutique this morning to inquire... I was told that if I buy a Zeitwerk, I would be put forward for the steel version and possibly get one in 2025.. As for the titanium, it's impossible unless I am a long established purchaser... 

The purchase of a Zeitwerk at the official boutique would get you a spot on a waiting list for a steel Odysseus, to be filled in 3-4 years. I guess the Odysseus only comes as a bundle with a Zeitwerk these days, at full retail in an official boutique, and... 

But just did a search after reading your comment . Is it a normal practice to appoint someone for the top job who has no pedigree in the watch / luxury goods industry ? 🤔

But personally I deplore that most brands are now headed by marketeers rather than industrialists like e.g. Guenter Bluemlein.

They were going to make a run of 500 but the corundum blasting and polishing of the titanium was so labor intensive they decided to only do 250

But, the dial of Odysseus always seemed to me like a mutant hybrid of 1815 and Zeitwerk ...

That working with something “new” such as titanium in a sports watch posted some challenges. Probably more work involved, that’s one. Secondly, they have created this as a limited edition to reward some long-term customers of the brand…I think this is a n... 

But that's not what they do with the Odysseus, which I see as a land grab from A.L&S to capture the retailer's margin from its AD's. And bundle it with the purchase of another watch for good measure, unless one wants to wait for their allocation forever. ... 

What I’m told is that the bundling scheme doesn’t apply to the titanium Odysseus. It is as you say reserved for selected return customers of their official boutiques. It’s reasonable to expect them to prioritize customers of their official boutiques over ... 

Someone I know, who has bought many, many (> 30) Lange timepieces, will not get one, because he has bought all his watches at the same AD and not at a boutique. I’ve got difficulties understanding such a rigid, in this case consumer unfriendly, policy of ...

Alas … 250 pieces only and with an annoying policy of only for major league boutique customers. Having a purchase with the ADs doesn’t count. Very upsetting. 😟 ...  

Even better if they made the whole thing in white gold.

At least, that's what I saw on the blue Ody models.

in this dial arrangement it will look a bit odd...I was thinking Lange would have added a '0' at least Best, mahesh.,

What surprised me most was the price. Not sure about other currencies but in Japan the Ti Ody is basically double the price of the SS which I find staggering.
