been an excellent customer is "just" that, an excellent customer. There is no doubt in my mind that L&S could have taken the leather strap off your watch and installed it on another "brand new" watch that they have in their store in order to allow future customers to try on their wrist! Your analogy with expensive wines in expensive restaurant, is not valid in my opinion, as if the said wine is "stained", of course it will be replaced. In your case there was nothing wrong with the black strap you purchased. The only "wrong" thing was that after having had it for one week YOU decided that YOU didn't like it! It is in no way L&S fault. I am absolutely certain that if the black strap you purchased had been defectuous L&S would have replaced it. Perhaps, you are "Demanding" too much? "Asking" could have achieved a better outcome!
