Geez, it's just a watch,

 

and a GREAT one at that. There is no "trick" or "betrayal." I would be proud to own it, even if they come up with the less expensive blue one you mention.
I've got no contract or expectation with Lange that they can't produce something similar to a watch I might already own.
And they are handling this one right in regard to maintaining value--reducing the price point and allocating one per AD. A high level of interest might even cause a twist--increased value for the original enamel versions, which sell on the secondary market now for much less than their original retail prices. That would be a nice surprise for some of those thinking they have been "tricked."
