Dec 17, 2020,18:09 PM
Hello friends! I will have the big pleasure of hosting this week end.
I hope that in spite the troublesome year we are having making a very different year to keep old family traditions, we will manage to celebrate next Christmas and the arrival of New Year 2021 with our beloved ones.
For us watch lovers these dates confront us with the dilemma of choosing an special watch to wear on the nights of December 24th and 31st.
The Theme for this week end edition requires to answer two questions:
1) Which is the watch (or watches) you´ll be wearing on these two nights? and...
2) Are you expecting Santa to leave a new watch for you or for any member of your family under the Xmas tree?
My friends here already know that for these two nights I have been wearing the very same watch since I received it as a gift from my wife in November 1982: A gold case and bracelet Rolex Date ref 1501. I will repeat the tradition this year as well of course, though as usual I will be wearing some different watches during the day.
Regarding Santa... I have sent him a letter asking for two watches one for me and one for Mrs. Subexplorer but I don´t know if they will arrive in time to the AD for Santa taking delivery of them.
So I will post a couple of commercial pictures here (which of course should not be considered part of the contest): A Pam 931 faded brown California dial for me and a Speedmaster 38mm "Capuccino" for my wife.
You may begin posting your entries in this same thread.
Please remember that as usual we have three categories:
Best Static Shot
Best Wrist Shot
Best Watch of the Week
And participants may send photographs for any or all the categories.
Look forward to your participation and I send all our friends and their beloved ones my best wishes of Happiness and Good Health for next Christmas and New Year 2021
Have a nice week end! Cheers! Abel
