Very interesting theme…
And a question I have been asking myself for a while. To be honest watch wise there is little to nothing that I absolutely must have, most of the watches on my want to list also residing in the collection already. A VC1921 in WG is still something I would like, I guess but I feel no pressure there.
There are some incomings in the first half of the year (assuming the promised schedules are kept) that will be nice, if more on the fun end of the spectrum.
On the car front there’s an M3 Touring coming for my wife, which I have been quite curious about and eventually I would like to add an A110S, which is high on the wish list but low on practicality, unless we expand to a third car.
The M3 is the first estate, first AWD and last only petrol powered example for the series, so a smaller, (probably) nimbler complement to the E63S that I managed to get for myself from the final series last year (with two kids estate heavy works well 😉).
This weekend has been largely watch free, since I have to take care of a family with a tummy bug but did wear the Izul for a short while.

I know a lot of "purists" kind of poo-poo the mere thought of quartz.
All of my other watches are automatic or manual, I am willing to get a quartz Cartier with the thought that movement is better than the box store quartz watches and the fact that will always be set, running and ready to put on.
I think Cartier is such an iconic design house that it’s pretty much the only watch manufacture that can sell quartz alongside its mechanical movements in numbers.
The shape and case design is such an integral part of the brand.
Get the Tank Solo
It's a great watch. I rotate it regularly between my Royal Oak and Nautilus and it holds its own. Who cares that it's a quartz watch. It's pure class on the wrist.
