. . . quite as arresting as the Omega . . .
. . . from Argentina. Reference 2494 isn't all that rare as many were produced. This one, though, scores on account of being a chronometer. Most 2494 chronometers, like Tony C's, are fitted with cal 354 movements. Mine's a cal 352, and moreover, one of the earliest made according to the movement number.
It's when cognoscenti realize this is one of the ultra-rare versions cased in steel with a 14 kt pink gold bezel that jaws start dropping.
