. . . who won four races over the course of his career, and was reputed to have been the one driver Jim Clark respected most. I saw him race on several occasions, most notably the inaugural California 500 at the now-defunct Ontario Motor Speedway. He hit the wall directly in front of where I was sitting on the third turn while I was taking a b&w photo, but the picture was overexposed, and unfortunately I've since lost track of it.
