My Habring slips under the (cocktail) bar at around 7mm ...
But it’s beaten by the Octo Finissimo at approximately 5.37mm.
But ultimately it was the Zenith that limboed under my cuff, ;-))

Agree with you that 9 mm is a surprising thickness considering the present trends to bigger and thicker watches. And that size includes a domed glass!! Also diameter was much contained at around 34/35 mm though there are exceptions of course. The JLC Trip...
