Hello dear Count!! May I try Limbo play? Not an easy ...
Mar 26, 2021,18:39 PM
Challenge as I’m a bit over weight and out of training to pass under the low bar but also because my horological preferences are generally focused in tool watches and chronos which usually have thick cases of at least 13 mm or more.
Anyway I looked after something thinner in the bottom of my old trunk and found some slimmer watches to play with:
(Thickness measurements were taken including plexi)
Rolex Precision ref 9659 from 1964. Called the “Elegant Watch” model in Rolex catalog. 9 mm thick including its high domed plexi. Soleil blue dial.
Omega Chronometre ref 2367-8 from 1946. 11 mm thick including domed plexi.
Omega “Jumbo” ref 2505-31 9 mm thick
JLC Triple data ref 2721 circa 1944. 10,5 mm thick.
Zenith Art Deco dial. Reference unknown. C 1945/50’s
Couple of vintage Vacheron timepieces. Bronze dial is 11 mm thick and silver dial is 8,5 mm thick.
A few wrist shots:
I wish you’ll approve my dear Count!!
Have a nice weekend my dear friend Moritz and all our friends here!!
Cheers! Abel
