. . . early '70s Seiko . . . . . . and late '40s Omega . . . . . . with the unusual 18 jewel count . . . . . . 30T2SC. The color balance of the movement image is fairly accurate; the movement was so badly oxidized that I asked for it to be re-plated, a me...

I'm always amazed by the HUGE creative process that happened during the 60's and 70's. If I was a watch designer, I should be in deep trouble to keep up with those guys. Everything is so balanced, love the GP logo at 9. Perfect. Cheers, Nilo

Hi All This is my latest acquisition, from earlier in the year. I'd realised that I'd not been wearing it that much so for the last few days I've had on my spare wrist. The watch on my other wrist, is the one I bought before & hasn't been off my wrist...

Hi Thanks - it has what a lot of sixties watches have. A smaller size than current and also a bit of restraint. I know that lots of current watches have it too, but I think sometimes as size increases its harder to achieve. Thanks JML

Or better, several tries. You get used to big watches, but you can also get used to smaller ones. You will see. I have a " normal " wrist ( 17 cm ) and I can wear watches from 32 mm up to 47 mm without any problem. Try! Best, Nicolas

Acquisition was the Panerai 505! I went to a private dinner party at Ruth Chris that my local AD Reis Nichols was putting on for Panerai owners, collectors. I knew I liked the 292 and the 384. I saw many great Panerai\'s that night but the 505 caught my e...

Thanks for the compliments These Habring's are great. Every one that I tried felt right, and it was a matter of what suited my taste best, which in PuristS tradition...a clean, time only, manual winding movement...that worked best for me.

I must say the Habring dials fascinate me. The grey, the blue...must have been a hard choice. Stefan

I have two more incoming but both will arrive too late for this week's wrist scan. So here goes, a Grand Seiko SBGX097, with a dark green dial (not that you can tell from the pics) ...

The dial is actually a dark green, which one only sees when the light falls just right. It is fairly difficult to capture in pictures. But I guess that is part of the appeal As far as my experience goes, you will definitely be disappointed, if you take th... 

with this latest one and the enjoyment is still going strong. :) The Omega SM300 Ti has one of the nicest blue dials I've come across lately, with an innovative dual colour lume (green for hands and blue for indices). The mainly polished grade 5 Titanium ...  

I was way too anxious to grab the SM 300 Master that I didn't wait for the Ti version to arrive. In any metal, it's a memorable watch. Here is mine, in SS, with a picture that I took on the day it arrived. After that photo session, I replaced the bracelet...  

I had a hard time deciding between the Ti and SS at first but eventually the blue dial swayed me. The good thing is they also look great on straps! Cheers F
