. . . when contemplating between the Striking 1/10th and the steel New Vintage 1969 that I eventually acquired, Nilo. My sense is that, counter-intuitive as it may seem, the matte black titanium model is more legible than the more visually striking steel version.
Am I right?

I don't agree. The dial x hands on the black titanium offers less contrast than the SS version. But the transparent dial allows us to peek into parts of the El Primero and this is (don't let Zenith hear me) priceless. I will do a full review in 2013 but t...
