The yellow Nato on your Pogue looks fantastic indeed and I share with you the philosophy that certain watches look better with their original metal bracelets. The Explorer II is a good example of this thought. I also like to wear my Explorers with their Oyster bracelets.

In the photo of my Lemania, the watch has the original Royal Navy issue strap. I know this as the watch came from the Naval Officer who kept it for many years after leaving the service.
