Hello dear friends:
I have the pleasure to host this weekend. I’ll be sharing the hosting with our dear Captain Scarlet tomorrow as I will have no reliable Internet connection during Sunday.

We are asking participants of our WS event to share their personal preferences in the way of wearing their watches: metal bracelets, leather, canvas or rubber straps, Nato straps?
Of course some extreme weather (hot, cold, humidity, etc) conditions our way of wearing our watches. Or the purpose for wearing watches (like swimming or scuba diving) rules out a leather strap and our choice will be a steel bracelet or a rubber strap.
In my personal case I like so much to wear my watches with leather straps and play with textures and colors... But in some watches I can´t imagine any other choice than wearing them with their original steel (or gold) bracelets based only in an aesthetic preference.
By the other hand my wrist skin doesn´t bear the feeling of rubber so I can´t enjoy the practical use of this interesting type (and their wonderful array of colors) except in certain diving watches and during a very short period of time.
Regarding Nato straps: I love the possiblity of playing with their colors combinations and textures and like how they look in photographs, but regrettably I find they look awful on my thin wrists so I only use them for photographs or in vintage watches as a provisional strap till I find an original bracelet or a better looking leather strap.

In the photo of my Lemania, the watch has the original Royal Navy issue strap. I know this as the watch came from the Naval Officer who kept it for many years after leaving the service.
