... AD I ordered from three years ago I feel will never call me for this watch. Glad to know you also like the Jubilee choice in this particular model.
My Speedmaster collection seems to be completed so far... but you know that for a collector to declare a collection complete is a risky move. There always exists many little gaps to fill in any collection and a new unexpected temptation could arrive in the future though I´m very satisfied with its present status.
Regarding the original Astronauts Speedy and the Moonwatch: the Moonwatch is a magnificent tribute to the first and though being a very close rendition of the original they feel completely different when you view each of them.
Probably the feel of a vintage with its little patinated case, its plexi, the closed back with red inscriptions and its little nicks from the use of previous owner is what gives a vintage watch that special charm. It´s a most important piece of history with its close relation with the pioneer Space Explorers and a far era.
The Moonwatch by the other hand is a breathtaking watch with a modern look, crisp angles and technically superior movement. It´s a delight to have it on the wrist and a wonderful modern homage to the astronauts and to celebrate the First Landing on the Moon, that Big Leap for Humankind.
Thank you so much my dear friend Moritz! Cheers, Abel
